OVERVIEW

Get ready to kick off summer the right way at the Chicago Summer Sizzler, the first stop in Defender’s 3-part Summer Sizzler Series! Taking place June 19–21 in Chicago, this high-energy event brings together 10U–18U AA, A, and B teams for a 4-game minimum at Seven Bridges Ice Arena and Center Ice of DuPage. With fast-paced competition and championship aspirations on the line, this is where teams come to set the tone for their summer.

There’s no better place to start than Chicago in June—when the city comes alive with perfect weather, lakefront energy, and nonstop activity. When teams aren’t on the ice, families can explore Millennium Park, stroll along Navy Pier, take in the views from Willis Tower Skydeck, relax on Lake Michigan beaches, or experience some of the best food in the country—from deep dish pizza to iconic local spots. It’s the ultimate blend of elite hockey and big-city summer vibes.

As Part 1 of the Summer Sizzler Series, Chicago sets the stage before the action heads east to the Jersey Shore for a true beach-and-hockey experience, and concludes in Hershey, PA —where competition peaks alongside one of the country’s top family destinations. With top-tier competition, unbeatable summer timing, and three can’t-miss destinations, the Summer Sizzler Series is built for teams ready to compete, travel, and make the most of their offseason. It all starts in Chicago—don’t miss your chance to bring the heat.
