The New England Fall Prep tournament promises to be a thrilling addition to the hockey calendar, as it's designed to bring teams together for a weekend filled with intense competition. Taking place over Labor Day weekend from September 1-3.

One of the most exciting aspects of the New England Fall Prep tournament is the opportunity to play at renowned hockey venues. In addition, the tournament will also utilize the Icenter Salem in Massachusetts.

This past weekend, hockey teams gathered at multiple rinks in the Delaware and Pennsylvania region for the annual Defender Hockey Tournaments' Denis Duplanti Boys Tournament. The tournament showcased the skills and talents of young athletes across various age divisions.

10U A Aviators Soar to Victory: In an impressive display of dominance, the 10U A Aviators showcased their prowess on the ice with an 8-1 victory over the West Chester Wolverines. Liam Fanning stole the spotlight with a remarkable performance, netting an impressive hat-trick, accounting for three of the Aviators' goals.

10U B HLH Elite Major Triumphs: In a spirited matchup, the 10U B HLH Elite Major team emerged victorious against HLH Elite Minor, delivering an exciting contest with multiple players contributing to the team's success.

12U AA Ashburn Power Play Selects Show their Dominance: The 12U AA Ashburn Power Play Selects demonstrated their skill and team chemistry as they secured an 8-3 victory over the West Chester Wolverines. 14U AA Mt. Laurel Jacks Showcase Superiority: The 14U AA division witnessed an outstanding performance from the Mt. Laurel Jacks as they faced off against the Delaware Patriots. Ryan Griscom and Aiden Whitehurst were instrumental in the Jacks' triumph, each contributing two goals to their team's winning effort.

16U A Ashburn Power Play Selects Shine: The 16U A Ashburn Power Play Selects displayed their talent and determination against Stingers Hockey. Notable contributions from Zachary Dowe, Grant Leeds, Reid Baker, and other players ensured a well-deserved victory for the Power Play Selects.

18U AA/A Snider Hockey Prevails in Overtime Thriller: In an intense and closely fought contest, the 18U AA/A Snider Hockey team emerged victorious in an overtime battle against the Ashburn Power Play Selects, with Devon Mallon scoring the winning OT goal.

The Patriot Ice Center in Newark, Delaware was filled with excitement this past weekend as our annual Keg Cup took place.

In division B, the Frogs took on the Space Cadets in a thrilling matchup that saw the Frogs come out on top with a 10 to 4 victory. The Frogs were led by Nick DeMarco, who scored several goals and recorded multiple points throughout the game. The Space Cadets put up a valiant effort but ultimately fell short against the dominant Frogs.

Division C saw the Zombies take on the Mantis, and it was the Zombies who emerged victorious with a 7 to 3 win. Matt Strazzella and Phil Mullen led the way for the Zombies, each scoring two goals and helping secure the win. The Mantis fought hard but were unable to overcome the strong offensive showing from the Zombies.

In division D, the Stars took on the Yetis in another exciting matchup that ended with a 7 to 3 victory for the Stars. Multiple players contributed goals for the Stars, but it was Pat Doherty who scored the game-winning goal.

The Patriot Ice Center in Newark, DE, was buzzing with excitement over the weekend as the Defender Hockey Tournaments Delaware Spring Thaw took place. The event featured a series of intense ice hockey matches, with teams from 10U to 18U competing for the championship title in their divisions.

One of the highlights of the tournament was the 10U B Championship game, where the Hollydell Selects (Sauer) took on the Frederick Polar Bears. The game was tightly contested, with both teams playing at a high level. In the end, the Hollydell Selects emerged victorious, winning 6-5 against the Frederick Polar Bears. Bryce Donahue was the standout player for the Hollydell Selects, scoring four goals including the winning OT goal.

The Richmond Snipers also had a dominant performance, winning the 12U A Championship 12-1 against the Brandywine Outlaws. The Snipers' top goal scorer, Jake Goumenis, scored three goals, while their top points leader, Gavin Gwinn, registered an impressive nine points in the game.

In the 12U B Championship game, the Hollydell Selects once again showed their mettle, defeating the Black Bear Selects (Girls) 5-3. Jordan Roverano scored the first two goals of the game in the first period, while Nick Sauer and Collins Marchese also contributed goals in the second and third periods.

The Delaware Patriots dominated the 14U A and B Championship games, winning 5-2 against Stingers Hockey and Devil Dogs. In the 14U A Championship game, Chris Porecca was the star player, scoring four goals in the first period, while Braydn Stauder contributed with a goal in the second period. Meanwhile, in the 14U B Championship game, Derasmo, Olds, Carroll, and Watkins all scored for the Patriots, helping their team secure the win.

The 16U A Championship game between Stingers Hockey and Devil Dogs was a close match, with Stingers Hockey emerging victorious with a 3-2 score. The Devil Dogs took an early lead in the first period, with a goal from Drew Savarese assisted by Nolan Shingle. However, Stingers Hockey came back in the third period with two goals from Brayden Houser and one from Brady McMann to secure the win.

In the 18U AA/A Championship game, the Frederick Polar Bears beat Stingers Hockey 5-3 in a hard-fought game. The Polar Bears took an early lead in the first period, scoring three goals, but Stingers Hockey managed to fight back with two goals from Chase Gittens in the same period. The second period saw no goals from either team, but the Polar Bears came back strong in the third period, with Bradley Cupples scoring the GWG and Brady Gardiner adding an unassisted goal with just 10 seconds left on the clock.

Defender Hockey Tournaments has recently announced its new event, the College Hockey Exposure Showcase, taking place on September 8-10 at York Ice Arena. This tournament is exclusively for 18U players and offers an exciting opportunity for them to kick off their season and gain exposure to many ACHA and AAU programs.

The College Hockey Exposure Showcase is a round-robin style tournament, with each team guaranteed a minimum of four games. The tournament also offers players the chance to interact with coaches and scouts, giving them the opportunity to advance their careers as hockey players.

To participate in the tournament, detailed rosters and/or recruiting profiles are required. These will be sent to college coaches, providing players with the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents to college programs. Click here to register.

As of April 6, several teams have already confirmed their attendance, including York College, Rowan University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, George Mason University, University of Kentucky (Virtual), Penn State University- Harrisburg, California University of Pennsylvania, Neumann University, University of Maryland, St. Joe's University, Kutztown University, and Catholic University.

York, Pennsylvania, is a beautiful location for this exciting tournament. There are plenty of activities to do in the area, including exploring the history of the United States. York is the birthplace of the Articles of Confederation, and visitors can learn more about this important historical document at the Colonial Courthouse.

The Indian Steps Museum is also a fascinating destination, where visitors can learn about indigenous peoples and their culture. For those interested in the performing arts, the 20th-century Capitol Theatre in the Appell Center for the Performing Arts hosts seasonal events and comedy shows.

The county is also home to over 4,500 acres of public parks and dozens of biking and hiking trails, providing visitors with an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.

Defender Hockey Tournaments has announced a series of exciting tournaments for the fall and winter seasons. The tournaments will take place in New Hampshire, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware and will feature round-robin play with a three-game minimum. With age groups ranging from 8U to 18U, the tournaments offer a great opportunity for hockey players of all levels to showcase their skills.

The first tournament on the Defender Hockey Tournaments schedule is the College Hockey Exposure Showcase, which will take place in York, PA. This tournament is new to the lineup and promises to be an exciting addition. The tournament will feature teams from 18U age groups and will take place on September 8-10.

Next up is the Columbus Day Invitational, which will be held in both Connecticut and Pennsylvania from October 7-9. Teams from the 8U to 18U age groups will compete in this tournament, with games being played in both states.

For the Thanksgiving weekend, Defender Hockey Tournaments will host the Thanksgiving Classic from November 24-26. This tournament will take place in New Hampshire, Delaware, and New Jersey, and will feature teams from the 8U to 18U age groups.

In January, the Winter White Out will take place in New Jersey from the 13th to the 15th. This tournament will feature teams from the 10U to 18U age groups and promises to be a great way to start the new year.

The President's Faceoff and President's Cup will be held in February in both New Jersey and Delaware. These tournaments will feature teams from the 8U to 18U age groups and will take place from February 16-18.

Finally, the St. Patty's Smackdown will take place in both New Jersey and Delaware from March 8-10. Teams from the 8U to 18U age groups will compete in this tournament, which promises to be a great way to end the season.
